IT Manager


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Duties
  • Manage entire domain environment
  • Build and deploy physical and virtual Windows-based production servers
  • Architect, deploy and manage network & server infrastructure
  • Resolve server and network related technical challenges
  • Architect, deploy and manage enterprise backup solution
  • Monitor and ensure security of company network and manage access control systems
  • Provide backup coverage for team members and handle support issues during off-hours
Administrative Duties
  • Manage client expectations and meet regularly with key executives
  • Forecast and manage yearly IT budget(s); select IT vendors and manage relationships
  • Plan hardware and software deployments; select and purchase hardware and software
  • Mentor, train, set goals and oversee tasks performed by direct reports
  • Conduct weekly meetings and quarterly performance reviews
  • Assist upper management in interviewing and hiring, and development of IT policies and procedures
  • Oversee all administrative management of direct reports
  • Conduct routine comprehensive audits of IT infrastructure and policies and client training
  • Document IT processes and end-user documentation (How-Tos & Usage Guides)
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • 6+ years of experience in the management and administration of an enterprise IT department
  • Architect enterprise-grade and fault tolerant IT environments
  • Advanced understanding and hands-on experience with Active Directory, Exchange 2007/2010, VMware ESXi and SharePoint in a production environment
  • Advanced networking concepts (TCP/IP subnets, DNS, SMTP, Routing, VLANs, CIFS, NFS)
  • Mac operating system and hardware
  • Firewall, VPN and wireless technology concepts
  • Solve complex computer, server, application and networking issues
  • Network monitoring tools and protocol analyzers (Nagios, PerfMon, Wireshark, tcpdump)
  • Disaster Recovery of production systems
  • Scripting
  • Exchange Cmdlets
  • SSL Certificates and encryption technologies
  • Video conference systems
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Enterprise-grade firewall, VPN , router and wireless technologies
  • NAS, SAN and clustering solutions
  • SQL Server Administration
  • Windows Powershell
  • Linux
  • VoIP and QoS concepts
  • IPv6
  • LDAP
KEY ATTRIBUTES
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to exude confidence when dealing with C-level executives
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to multitask and resolve technical issues in a timely fashion
  • Proven leadership qualities with the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Stay hands-on, lead by example and look for ways to improve internal Infracore processes and work closely with management team to implement solutions
EDUCATION
  • 4-year degree


Desktop Support Specialist


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Duties
  • Setup and deploy PC & Mac computers, transfer settings & data between computers, setup & configure printers and network devices
  • Troubleshoot and fix software and hardware issues on desktop systems, phones, printers, and network devices
  • Monitor data backup processes including the on-site and off-site rotation of tapes
  • Answer support calls, respond to emails and address employee walk-up questions
  • Monitor and respond to IT system alerts during business hours
  • Resolve helpdesk tickets
Administrative Duties
  • Meet regularly with IT Manager to provide status updates
  • Monitor ticket queue and assign tickets to other team members
  • Maintain printer consumables and general IT supplies
  • Document IT processes and create physical & logical infrastructure diagrams using Visio
  • Inventory IT equipment
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • PC operating systems and hardware
  • Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Computer peripherals such as printers, scanners, wired and wireless network cards and media devices
  • Wireless clients and stand-alone Access Points
  • Smartphone (BlackBerry, iPhone, or Android)
  • Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP Properties)
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Advanced networking concepts (TCP/IP subnets, DNS, SMTP, Routing)
  • Windows Server Active Directory and Group Policy
  • RAID technologies
  • Server-grade equipment
  • Desktop/Laptop imaging solutions (Ghost, Sysprep, Acronis, WDS)
  • Sharepoint
  • VMware ESXi
  • Linux/Unix
KEY ATTRIBUTES
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exude confidence when dealing with C-level executives
  • Troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
  • Multitask and resolve technical issues in a timely fashion
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
EDUCATION
  • Some college education or equivalent certification path
