Infracore Completes Cost-Benefit Analysis for In-House vs. Co-Location Hosting of Entire Development Environment for Local Software Development Firm

SAN DIEGO, July 17, 2009 - Infracore LLC, San Diego's premier IT Services provider, completed a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis of relocating the development, QA and demonstration equipment (over 150 servers and corresponding network infrastructure) to Infracore's preferred Co-Location facility.

Infracore was given the task of determining the feasibility and cost benefit analysis of moving a fairly substantial server farm from an existing on-premise lab environment to a co-location facility. Many important factors weighed in on the decision. Power, cooling, space, security, access and uptime to name a few. Reducing business impact as well as keeping the overhead and complexity to a minimum were key factors for Infracore engineers and project managers.

“Since we manage internal IT departments and are responsible for large data center environments, we bring a unique blend of knowhow to the table. We know the hidden costs as well as the intricate technology pitfalls to provide the complete and unbiased guidance our client needed,” said Chris Eakin, Co-Founder and Principal at Infracore. “At the end of the day, there are pros and cons with both scenarios, and we helped our client make an informed decision.”
